Registration -> Army List Submission

All registered players must submit one DBM army list of not more than 400AP for checking (see below for address). Please note that:

  • We are publishing a date which lists must be correct by rather than a last submission date.
  • Players who have a list passed as legal by the 19th October 2007 will be entered into a draw for a prize of a painted 400AP army. The draw will take place at the event prizegiving ceremony. If the winner is not at the ceremony another name will be drawn.
  • Our list checkers only guarantee a response within 1 week of list submission or re-submission and many lists are found to have errors on first submission. Please submit early to make sure you are included in the draw for the painted army prize.
  • Players who have not submitted legal lists by the 19th October 2007 will be subject to cumulative daily penalties to their final competition score.
  • All lists must be drawn from the second edition DBM Army list books 1 to 4 with the authors' official errata.
  • The IWF DBM Army List Interpretations v1.0 will be used at the event. You can download them as a MS Word file by clicking here.
  • All lists submitted must conform to the IWF army list format guidelines below. (These guidelines are also included in the IWF DBM Army List Interpretations v1.0 document). Lists that do not conform to these guidelines will be rejected.
  • Only in exceptional circumstances will players be allowed to change lists once a legal one is accepted.
  • Army list submission status for each player is displayed on the Registered Players page.

Army List Format Guidlines (an extract from IWF Army List Interps v1.0)

In general we do not prescribe the format for submission of army lists. However, in addition to listing the number and type of troops chosen we require the following information.

For the army:

  • Army name
  • Army date and, if appropriate, specific general, state, etc.
  • Total AP
  • Total number of elements equivalents
  • Army break point.

For each command:

  • Total number of elements (including baggage where appropriate) *
  • Total of element equivalents
  • Command break point
  • Command 25% loss point

* Naval elements as well as their landing elements are included in the total number of elements for determining command size even though the naval element does not count for element equivalent size (unless Bts (F) which are 0.5EE and have no landing element).

If submitting lists electronically please use common file formats such as Word, Excel, plain text, etc.

The following are general points that should be adhered to when submitting lists to the list checkers. They are intended to make the list checkers job easier and so help avoid misunderstandings.

Where the notes to a list state that a proportion of elements of a particular troop type can, at the players discretion, count as Bedouin these elements should be noted in any army list submitted for checking.

Where elements have been downgraded (e.g. to Hd in an Ugaritic army), this should be noted.

Where an army includes "mounts for any infantry" the submitted list must specify which troops are so mounted.

All lists submitted for checking should give the full name of the troop type as described in the army list (e.g. "Equites Alares") as well as its classification (e.g. Reg Cv (O)).
